Selecting an Event Venue

The venue for your event can make or break your event. When organizing an event, you're confronted with many decisions, but choosing the right venue and location is the one decision that will have the largest impact on your event.

So there are many factors to consider when choosing the perfect venue. Up front, there are four key considerations:

1. the size
2. location
3. cost
4. and facilities offered by the venue.

Also need to consider how to manage transportation and other accommodations for your guests and/or speakers, where applicable.

Location: very key for attendance. And a big factor to location is Parking. Does the venue have a parking lot or valet parking?

Capacity and Minimums: What's the capacity?

Contract Flexibility and Force Majeure: Very essential to avoid issues.

Services and Amenities: Affects your overall cost.

Layout: ability for flexible settings; ease of movement.

Ambiance and Accessibility: Pay special attention to the existing decor inside the venue. What style is the architecture and what does the building's interior convey?
